This Saturday morning workshop, offered entirely by donation, focuses on a new topic each week. Topics range from very specific and detailed alignment principles, primarily derived from Iyengar yoga to thematic ideas as a core integration to the practice. Some weeks the class will feel more like an Iyengar alignment workshop, and others weeks practice will be a more traditional Vinyasa Flow Yoga practice centered on a specific theme, pose, movement, or breath principle. As examples of past themes, on January 20th we worked on various sorts of Backbend drop-backs, from standing, Sirsasana, and Handstand; and on January 27th we focused on a detailed exploration of external rotation in full flexion of the shoulders, to free up new possibilities of movement in deep Inversions and Backbends. If there's some aspect of practice you'd like to explore, call or email me before Saturday's class, and I'll put together a workshop on it!

This class often incorporates some partner yoga practices, though if you're looking for a specifically partner-oriented practice in San Francisco, I'd recommend you check out AcroYoga!
